Distracted

So I removed a huge weight off my shoulders by quitting my job last week.  And Friday night I felt so great planning how I would spend my upcoming week.  Said week is here and I feel so distracted.  I guess its true what they say that no matter how old your kids are you are still their mom and they are still going to need you.  Unfortunately I'm still learning how to be a mom.  Because their are certain things in life that hit you, and no matter how mentally prepared you think you might be.  You are not as prepared as you thing.  And no amount of anger frustration or fight will make it go away.  So you learn compassion and unconditional love, and hope it's enough to get you and your child through it.  How do you stay happy when dealing with a depressed child?  How do you stay sane?  How do you not blame yourself?  How do you help them without taking away their independence?   As much as he needs help I need help too.  Because I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm happy for you that you thought about YOURSELF and got out of a situation that was making you miserable. As for the rest, you'll figure it out. Lotsa prayers, etc etc. You know the drill. Some things just take time. Some things just take chocolate. Some things just take a little bit more. Gluck.

I'm glad you left the job. As for the rest, I don't know. Hang in there and know that none of us know what we are doing. We're just doing the best we can. I can't wait for us to come home so we can have our phone calls again. I miss those so much!!!
