Run run run fast as you can!

"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."  -John Bingham

The last time I played an organized sport was 8th grade.  The last time before all this, I attempted to run a mile was as a freshman in PE.  I flunked PE.  And have never attempted again.  Until a couple years ago.  It's been a slow process for me, learning to run.  Making myself pass that next milestone.  Then I had a stomach issue, and took a break.  Then my ankles hurt so I took a longer break.  I think I kept looking for excuses to not do it.  I just kept thinking I'm not made for this I am not a runner.

But recently my sister put a new fire under my feet.  And I started trying again.  In the last 2 1/2 months I have ran.  I have ran and ran and ran.  I've lost some pounds (a bonus of actually getting off my butt and doing something.)  And today I hit a milestone that I feel good about.  I ran 5 miles.  I never thought I could do it, but today I did, and now all things seem possible.  I can keep pushing myself to get better and better.

That is so great!! I just started running... am embarrassed to say out loud what my 'milestone' was, but I'm pretty proud.
