Somewhere Strange

Have you ever gone somewhere so different then what your used to it feels like you've gone to another country?
I feel that way every time I go somewhere here in the town I live in.... but rather than another country, I feel like I've landed on the Island of Misfit Toys. And I'm desperately trying not to become one of them. For the most part this is a nice little place, and will be a lovely retirement area for my parents. But I think that some of the more, lets say, eccentric people of the State have come here to hide away from judgement. That or maybe they have lived here their entire lives and that's what has made them eccentric. I can see how easily it would to be sucked in by this way of life. If half the people around you don't have teeth, well maybe I shouldn't care either. Let's just say for someone like me who is just left of crazy, this may be a perfect match, because suddenly I feel very very sane!
