Laundry Day, Saw You There, Underthings, Tumbling...

I had never done laundry in a Laundromat before.  Now I can cross it off my list of things I'd never done.  I've been fortunate enough to always have a washer and dryer.   Or the couple times I've had washer issues I've been fortunate to have a neighbor to let me borrow from.  But last week when my washer broke.. wah wah wah... I didn't.  So when Laundry day rolled around on Monday I felt a little lost.  It threw off my groove tremendously.  I have to admit I was a little nervous about using a laundry mat, so I put it off until Tuesday afternoon.  I even made Wyatt go with me, because recently I've had strange encounters when I'm alone (Strange older business man says, "What size of shoe do you where?", Yikes).  Anyhow so Wyatt and I loaded up the Expi and headed off to the local, 30 miles away, laundromat.  I have to say WONDERFUL experience.  Not joking at all.  It was AMAZING.  I did six loads of laundry at one time.  At one time!!!  Normally it takes me most of the day to do laundry.  I now believe my dream home would come equipped with a Laundromat, without the quarter slots of course.  And as Wyatt pointed out, it gives you a good excuse to sit and read awhile.  Me time and getting the laundry done all at once... what could be better.

Nice!! Our dryer broke 2.5 weeks ago, so we are using the back yard. I've thought about washing my stuff and then taking it to a laundromat, but then it would be heavy and of course I couldn't really take 2-3 (or 6) loads at a time. Urg. One of these days we'll get a new used one! Good luck to you!

Way to go! There is always a plus side? Maybe not always, but at least in this case. ;)

Laundromat time was my husband and my family time. Do all the laundry, sit on the floor (ours had a gross carpet) and play board games. One of our cheapest dates ever
