A Solution To the Bored Epidemic!

Only a week into summer I've grown weary of the "I'm bored" and "I have nothing to do" s, so I decided that I needed a solution. A couple of summers ago I had made a Fun Jar. But in a way I decided that sometimes when you say "I'm bored" you should not get a reward, Because I'm Not The Entertainment Committee. So I sat down at the good ol' computer and typed out a couple of pages of random things I could think of.
Some things are fun-for instance-Shaving Cream Art(Thanks Amie for reminding me of this fun thing), Drawing Chalk Murals, Making cookies, Planning and packing for a picnic for all, etc.
Some things are odd- Go outside and sing your favorite song at the top of your lungs, Act like a monkey for 10 minutes, Tap dance everywhere you go for the next 1/2 hour, find a black rock, etc.
Some things are kind- Make a card for a cousin, Make banana nut bread and take it to a neighbor, write a letter to a grandparent, etc.
Some things will keep them out of my hair for a little bit- Read for 1/2 an hour, Write a poem about yourself, make a picture portfolio of your five favorite things.
And some things, the dreaded things, are work- Clean the Tupperware(I don't think I actually own any real Tupperware, it's more like cheap plastic crap) cupboard, clean out the car, Scrub the bathroom floors, etc.
There are rules. You can ask to draw out of the bag. You can only draw once a day. YOU HAVE TO DO WHATEVER YOU DRAW!

Cool - I want to try the shaving cream art - what does it look like after it's dried?

Very fantastic idea and the best part is that you didn't just put fun stuff in.

Just seems I always had so much to do when I was a kid, I never even thought of being bored.

Totally typing mine up, as we speak. I heard "I am bored" from my big girl WHILE we were at a play date. Ugh.
