Long Winded Week in Review

Finally Fifteen

Crazy Cat
I'm so happy its Friday. This week has been a busy one... even though I still feel like I didn't get much at all done. After taking Monday off to rebound from Kaseys birthday and Easter, Tuesday I hit the grocery store to do our weekly shopping. I felt pretty good leaving the store having spent quite a bit less then I thought I would. Wednesday was Wyatts Birthday. 15 years old. It was a super busy day. We started out our morning spending 1 1/2 hours at the Doctors office for Kaseys well check. She was such a big girl. She did everything the Dr. asked her to do, and was actually excited about her shots. She said and I quote " I like shots, now I can go to school." I guess she made my decision for me right there in that statement. On Monday I will take her to the eye Dr. because that was the only area she seemed to have problems with. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there. We rushed home from the Dr. so I could make Wyatt some lunch for his birthday. He had my specialty, TV DINNERS. After taking him back to school we ran to the Primary School to get Kaseys shot record turned in so she is officially registered for the fall (sniffle sniffle... I can change my mind at any point). I had about an hour or so to organize a few things and start on Wyatts Birthday dinner and finish his birthday cake before it was time to pick all of the kids up from school. Ty had his first Baseball practice of the season then it was back home for a quick dinner, open presents and head off to Church. Wyatt had a great day. He got "Happy Birthdays" from a lot of school mates, including a sneaky plate of brownies delivered at school, and a bag of candy, and his church buddies had cake and ice cream for him, as well as many texts, emails, and phone calls. He said " What a good birthday!"
Yesterday I fretted about stupid things and wasted most of my day worrying about things I can't control. But I did get to talk to my mom and one of my good friends on the phone and that made my whole day a better one. Kynzie had her first Softball practice and she's very excited about that whole thing. I am too, sitting in the warm sun, cheering on my kids, nothing much better than that.
So today is Friday. I have a couple of important things to take care of but mostly just going to clean the house and get ready for the weekend.
Oh, thanks to those that left dinner ideas. They were all great ideas...Lean Bean GREAT RECIPES.
This weeks menu was as follows: Tues: Chef Salad, Wed: Green Chili Burros and Chili Rellano Casserole, Thurs: Hawaiian Haystacks, Fri: Hamburgers coleslaw and homemade french fries, Sat: Nachos Supreme, Sun: Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings.
